Volunteers Provide Dental Care to Our Workers

Twelve Millionair Club Charity participants received free dental care on Tuesday, Oct. 30, when a group of eight volunteer dental hygienists from Seattle Central Community College participated in our first free dental service day.

The Millionair Club Charity rented a mobile medical van from Medical Teams International, a faith-based global health organization. Dr. Meghan Crawford and her seven dental hygienist students served our participants by providing basic oral cleanings, administering x-rays and performing minor dental surgery. The team also referred three of our participants to additional free dental work.

All participants received a hygiene kit containing shampoo, conditioner, a toothbrush, toothpaste, a washcloth and razors. These items were donated to us by our generous community partners.

“I feel like I’m giving back to the community,” says Yoshi, a dental hygienist student at Seattle Central Community College. We’re here to give [these participants] emotional support in addition to medical help.”

Thank you to Dr. Crawford, her students, Seattle Central Community College, Medical Teams International and our community partners for making our first free dental care event a success!

Four Millionair Club Charity Workers Earn Full-Time Employment at iClick

iClick, a Seattle-based computer hardware company, is a long-time agency employer of Millionair Club Charity workers. They regularly employ our workers in their South Seattle-based warehouse on an ongoing basis.

Right before Thanksgiving, they decided to hire four Millionair Club Charity workers permanently, all full-time with benefits.

“We’ve partnered with the Millionair Club for over five years and it has been very rewarding for iClick and the workers,” says Lon McGowan, CEO of iClick. “We employ Millionair Club workers every day and many of them end up being employed full-time because of their hard work, dedication and positive attitudes.”

“It’s a wonderful program that we will continue to use for many years to come.”

Congratulations to our dedicated workers for this exciting opportunity!
