Would you jump 30,000 feet to combat homelessness?

How high would you jump to change a life?

How high would you jump to change a life?

In less than three weeks, Larry Kaminer will make a daring 30,000-foot H.A.L.O. (high altitude, low opening) jump to help provide job opportunities and housing assistance to men and women in our community.

Only about 120 civilians have ever completed this military-style tandem jump before. To properly put Larry’s jump into perspective, 30,000 feet is the typical cruising altitude of commercial airplanes. He will freefall for two minutes at 200 m.p.h. before deploying his parachute.

Larry is doing this because he wants to raise awareness about the work the Millionair Club Charity is doing to address homelessness and unemployment in greater KingCounty. On any given night, more than 2,500 people are without proper shelter in the city of Seattle while countless others are unable to find work. This H.A.L.O. jump is Larry’s way of giving back to these folks in a bold and unconventional way.

Larry’s goal is to raise $30,000 – or one dollar for every foot he will jump. You can make a donation by visiting jumpforjobs.kintera.org. Every dollar raised will go directly to benefit Millionair Club Charity workers.
